LSL riser
Wow. I just took my 95 s3 on her shake down ride after switching out the stock clip-ons (wrists can't take it) for the LSL riser and bars.
I am now facing a new dilemna. The new upright riding position seems better suited for a history teacher (my present profession), but I feel I have lost some of the wholigan spirit that the clip-ons provided.
Am I selfish for going with comfort over style? Will other s3 riders ridicule me?
I suppose I could just switch back to the clip-ons when I want to relive some idealized version of my youth. Or beat up some bloke on a Vespa.
Thank you for letting me share.

Rowdy?
Just flip the superbike bars over and switch the controls when you want to 'get down'.

Nah. I'll mock you, but the other S3 riders won't.
Seriously, the modern Speed Triples come with superbike bars, so I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.
Cheers,
-Kit

If its comfortable, you'll ride it. If its uncomfortable, you wont ride it (far).
Standard / unmodified bikes will fetch a better sale price, so keep the original parts should you want to sell it on.

Thanks for the support, guys. I just needed to share. After explaining to my loving wife just how happy my wrists were after the conversion for the 14th time, I needed to tell someone else. It truly is a fantastic bike.
Now I have to find a dealer that doesn't consider the bike as "old." When I was asking the closest dealer about the riser kit (hoping someone with first hand experience could give me feedback), the guy tried to sell me a new bike.
Thanks again!

I had a set of risers a while ago (can't recall the make).
I fitted them once when I was planning on doing a 1000mile weekend, but couldn't stand the look and refused to keep them on.
After promptly selling them, the bike returned to its true hooligan origins!
You can tell my opinion pretty easily...

Very nice! I think the superbike bar conversion looks sweet, far better than I imagined and its comfortable for you. Those bars are actually still pretty low.
Do they still allow you to get down over the tank a bit for some streamlining?
Cheers,
Roden
