Thumbs up Front Forks

Hey MOT , Nice to have met you down at Laguna Triumph Ashford, was well impressed with your front fork upgrade, only problem is I am now trying to talk the misses into giving me some cash so I can do the same in the winter.

LOL she won't let you out again !!

Maxton & Ktec both do good work with suspension...I know a lot of the boys on here fit the Racetech stuff but in the end I wanted someone in the know to marry the spring, valve oil & air gap to get the best from them. I pleased with the result...compliant with control.

Your old bus is in fantastic nick, I'd forgotten how imposing a black speed triple can be !!

Ride safe
Mot

The compression adjusters had seized so they were replaced with Ktechs own which have a greater adjustment then stock, The standard spring rate was ok for my 11 1/2 stone frame but the damper was revalved to a better spec and the oil replaced for 5wt air gap set at 125mm. They look to have honed(sp) the surface of the forks to give a uniform finish to the chrome and fitted new fork seals.

I think they charge about £130 for a fork service and mine cost about £230...good value when you consider you can spen £200 on a pair of tyres (if you want !).

They come back with a list of base settings to start the twiddling process ;-)
