Coils...

i think my coils are starting to break up, is there anyone about who would be able to send me a set to check it out with, and possibly sell to me?
i have heard mention of new ones around here, where did you get them from, and how much did they set you back?
got 6 days before my next ride out, so need to get something sorted out, lol

Clean the spade end connectors to the low tension side and that the connectors are clean and a good fit, before you go out buying stuff! Do a search here - coils - should offer you some insight!

ok, i worked it out to be cylinder number 3 that was missing, so i cleaned the terminals, and no better, check the primary and secondary coils, spot on.
so i swapped HT leads, no difference.
changed the plug.wouldnt start.
used some jump leads to give the battery a boost (as i kept trying and trying)
and WHEY HEY! hey presto, she started first time, and on all 3 cylinders!
will keep an eye on the coils tho, and pick up another set to keep as a replacement incase one does actually pack up!
