Still around

Hi all,

Just letting you know that I have been reading the posts now and then. Working on my Yamaha FZR1000 in preparation for selling.

On the Speed Triple, I noticed that the black plastic cover under the instruments had broken so I super glued it together. I don't know if it will hold once the bike in on the road, so we'll see. I'm on holidays at the moment and will get around to installing the master cylinder piston.

Well I will be riding full time soon as my yearly train ticket expires and my 40km per day begins.

cheers Ian

Hi Ian, good to hear from you!

I think there is a carbon cover available for your instruments, Mot has one on his S3, looks trick.

Any changes to your Speedy?

Cheers,

Roden

No changes to the Speedy as yet, Roden.

Long term I want to restore it with all the correct parts including factory warning stickers that's why I was interested finding some original pipes but as usual the money is a factor.

I'm missing the reflectors from the side of the radiator. It's those little things that I want to find.

Hi ivincent.

While its good to have all original parts there are some very near copies for some things. ie the side reflectors can be obtained from triumph or you can get some almost identical reflectors from supercheap - probably in your neighbourhood.

Cheers for now - kiwigeoff
