Race cans

Ok, I've heard a couple of speed3's with race cans and they've sounded lovely. I want something that accentuates the engine note rather that creating a rozzer magnet. My questions are...

-Do I need to change carb settings if I fit them? Thinking seems to differ on this. Does it depend what I put on?

-I've been looking at carbon tridents but how do they compare to other makes?

Most seem to now come with removable baffles which I guess is handy come MOT time. Advice please.

Thanks chaps,

Gav

You may be able to get away without changing the jets???? The exhaust rep should be able to give you the recommendations when you buy the exhaust. I added a K&N filter and Dynojet kit when I fitted my Sebring.

i have laser race pipes on mine, they sound awesome, they are also very loud, but the bike has never been pulled for them, or inspected while pulled.they aere originally made fr the speed triple 750, but as the chassis and engine are the same as my d750, so they fitted with no issues.
should be able to get them stilli would imagine, but i would be prepared to give you the measurements so you could have some made.
i have posted 2 vids in a thread cant remember which one off the top of my head, but have a look/listen and see what you think

Gav,
the Tridents are the only ones specifically made for your bike and work really well - if you keep the baffle that they come with in, you will get a nicer sound without being too loud, about 3-4 bhp gain in power and you need not re-jet for it to all run smoothly

Hope this helps
