Wheel Bearings

Does anyone know the numbers needed to source wheel bearings (front/rear) for my 95 Speedtriple? I looked on the All Balls bearing website and they don't list them. Iwould prefer to not mortgage the house again for a set of roller bearings. I would also prefer to have them available before I take the old ones out.

i would think they are the same as on the 6 spoke wheels on my 750.
the front ones are 6005RS.
for some reason i have 3 numbers written down for the rear so maybe they are 3 different ones, ive slept since i did them so cant remember.
6204RS, 6304RS and 6305RS.
now you are going to say you wanted a phone number, or these are useless european numbers.

front wheel bearings are 2of 6005 2RS C3

rear wheel bearings are 2of 6204 2RS C3

sprocket carrier bearing is 1of 6304 2RS

the four figure number defines the size of the bearing, 2RS denotes it is sealed both sides, C3 denotes its clearance, e.g. its 'tightness'. I have found bearing suppliers do not stock C3 bearings and I have used bearings of different clearance with no problems (yet..........). Last time I bought some the guy in the shop said that C3 is a fairly 'loose' bearing.

Thank you for the information. The price of the Triumph replacements had me thinking that they were hand forged in a magic cave on the Isle of Man by a Druid Sourcerer or perhaps the result of a Pentagon contract.

Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know of a wheel bearing failure on a T300? I'm at 48k and wonder what a reasonable service limit might be. I should probably just apply the "better safe than sorry" school of thought.

I have had to change the front & rear wheel bearings a couple of times. The first set in the front wheel only lasted 13000, the rears needed doing at 22000, fronts again at 58000 and rears again at 59000. Currently on 69000, so hopefully I'll be OK for a while. Front wheel bearing wear makes for rough / coarse feeling in the handlebars.
