Why thanks Ben!

I don't know if Haynes will accept "crap" and "gunk" as proper engineering terminology though.

When I first got my Triple, I was a bit hesitant to really tear into my bike, mainly because of a lack of knowledge.

After joining this forum and doing lots of surfing around, I found so much help with people willing to go the extra yard with explanations and patience.
I'll try and give that back if I can.

I'm almost enjoying this site as much as the bike itself!

Cheers,

Roden

Alright, SUCCESS. The bleeding took a little while, but I had no problems and everything went smoothly. I did get a little of the oil on my paint from when I opened the master cylinder before, but I was able to rub it out. I didn't notice that the clutch seemed to engage earlier (I went out for a short ride), but it was very smooth and I feel more confident.

Thanks again everyone for all your help. Next, I'll probably look into renewing and changing out more of the fluids in the bike.

I have had very good luck with an industrial type glass cleaner. I make no pretence about my mechanical expertise, so when I spill brake fluid, I soak the area with the glass cleaner. When I am complete, I rinse with fresh water. So far no paint damage.... tho I have only ever spilled around the controls.

Wow Prof., I didn't know PumpkinSquash soup was an alternative to Hydraulic fluid - yikes, in this day and age but.... to much pepper perhaps?
