Centre stand installation

Hello,

Does anyone have the instructions for installing a centre stand to a sprint sport??? I think it should be self explanitory but would be worth checking the instructions. Bought one off e bay without them.

Many thanks

Ian,
Here's a link to photos of my centerstand installation http://www.triumphrat.net/photogalle...6/centerstand/
I bought mine off eBay too and had no instructions either, just figured it out as I went, fairly simple. Attaching the return springs was the hardest part. The holes in the frame to hook the springs on are way up inside. You have to lay on the ground and look up under the bike with a flashlight (torch) to find them. I also installed a rubber stop to keep the stand from clunking against the exhaust. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

good luck,
dc

DC is correct.

Those spring connections are way up inside.
I used a set of very long tweezers to hold it and connect.
I connected the ones up inside before connecting to the stand itself.
And depending on which way the go in, they can slip/slide off when deplying the stand.
I forget which way.....sorry.

Mine went on so easy, I just about installed them by accident. When I got them in the mail, I couldn't wait to see if it would fit (on my Sprint Sport). Having no intention of actually installing them until the next day, I held them up to the bike, and put the bolts thru to hold it in place, then I figured well, i might as well put the springs on and tighten the nuts down..... a couple minutes later i had the rear tire off the ground and congratulated myself with a frosty malt beverage. After installing it I don't know how I ever got by without one. (especially with our taffy kickstand brackets)

I hope your install goes as easy as mine did.
