Question Sidestand bracket on Sprint Sports

I apologize if this has been discussed before, but I did a search and could not find an answer to my question:

What bracket (Trophy or otherwise)/stand combo is the recommended replacement for the stock bracket for '97 & '98 Sprint Sports, which have the high pipes (I think the same pipes as the S3).

My bike leans badly on the side stand right now. I'm selling it to my buddy, so I want to get it sorted out before he gets the bike. I would like to keep the same plunger switch if possible.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Shemp-

While I'm not sure how the '94 - '96Speed Triple sidestand braket relates to your Sprint Sport, I can say that after 11 years, my was bent pretty bad. I too wanted to keep the side stand switch operational. Conclusion, I opted for a new direct replacement in lieu of the reportedly stronger bracket from the 1200 Trophy. I hope these new ones last at least as long and the original stock. Now I don't have to bastardize my sidestand switch and kickstand length.

I am also waiting for a friend to process a batch of metal bits with his cryogenic heat treatment equipment. While I've read the process makes metal surfaces much stronger, I'm willing to send my bracket through the process to see what happens. I'll post it up if it ever comes to fruition.

Just my 2 cents...

LOL

There's a few threads on this...........
Let's start here
http://www.triumphrat.net/t3-sport-t...ght=side+stand

or here

http://www.triumphrat.net/t3-sport-t...ght=side+stand

or here...you actually replied in this one

Or more ?

Make a coffee or some other beverage and sit back and enjoy the discussion.

By the way, since I changed mine, no more "leaning"

And since I added the center stand, no $60 oil changes at the dealer
and the chain adjustments are so much easier.
