Oil&filter

Hi all!
Just a small question.....should i change the oil and the filter as i only did 400k last year...( i know i know it's not a lot) or should i just change the oil? or do nothing?

No need for a filter change..you could just drop the oil, but only if you really want to...I would just take it for a good long blast to get any moisture out of the oil.

You should change oil at least once a year,even if you do low miles. Oil gets contaminated with moisture/condensation. Filters are not expensive,so change it,thats just my opinion.

Crambuster, if you only did 400k (as in Thousand) last year it probably needs a complete overhaul. Or is that Kilometers ??

I'm guessing by the original poster's location that he/she was referring to 400 kilometers, rather than 400,000. In any case, regardless of the number of miles, I'd look at the amount of time between changes.

Regardless, it's fairly cheap insurance to just bite the bullet and swap out both the oil and filter.
