Just ordered a Rifle windscreen for my Executive. Think it will knock off some of the wind buffet I've been getting at speed. It is the screen listed for the '95-'97 Sprint....but the hole pattern looks the same, according to Dennis at Rifle. I'll post info and photos as soon as it arrives and I install it on the bike.

Screen arrived today....well-packed and ready to go. Their Sprint screen lines up fine but the fairing has a bit more curve to it...the new screen is a bit more vertical on the sides. The screw pack had two angle cut rubber spacers which I use on the top two screws between the new screen and the fairing. Took a quick 100 mi. run to do some "errands" and check the windshield. There is a nice quiet zone now above the tank...I can actually hear the bike! Still looking over the top of the screen, which is what I wanted. Didn't seem to add any "wobble" to the bike (only got it to 80 max today) and the screen didn't flex much at all. Only thing I'd do differently would be to have more of a "curved" upper on the screen...the flat cut top does look a bit strange to me. Oh well, saw time I guess. Wind noise greatly reduced. I'm happy! If anyone wants a photo showing the new screen email me at derswede at mindspring dot com.

Hi Derswede,
I too have a sprint exec and wind noise/buffetting is a problem also.
Tried a cut down stock screen thinking that if the screen was shorter it would produce less turbulence at helmet height - not a complete success.
Would appreciate an update on what you think of the rifle screen and a pic if you dont mind.
a pic of my ol girl.

Hey, goosiman, been on the road. A photo follows but if you'd like more PM me and I'll get road shots. The Rifle fits fine and keeps the worst of the buffeting off me, but it is not a "handsome" setup. I'm keeping the stocker for summer use and will use the Rifle for winter use. Tempted to trim it a bit to see if I can get it to fit with the lines a bit better. "Efficient but mundane" is the way I'd describe it. The fit is not perfect (much more upright than the original) but it does work to give a quiet pocket over the top of the tank. I'll post better shots after getting the LH peg re-secured (what, a loose part on a Brit bike? Impossible!).
