clocking off

on me clocks on me 95 speed triple they are glass, right? I've had the back off them 'cos I want to clean the inside face of the glass 'cos on the speedo and the tach there's some crud. I've looked long and hard at them and after taking off the black surrounds and faced with the white plastic body I can't for the life of me work out how to get the plastic off to get at the glass. Is it possible....?

It can be done by careful leveraging of the underside of the bezel, in a kinda can opener manner and then hammering down carefully afterwards! There used to be a Tech article with photos, by some clever chap from the old site - but thats gone it seems.

that's kinda what I was fearing that'd I'd have to get to carefully leavering off the bevelled face... my metal working skills aren't that delicate. I'd fcuk it up for sure. I think I'll leave it for a bit. I can see how I'd lever it up and possibly push the face back down, but the even radius looks like its been pressed made and I can't replicate that.
