Swingarm interchange

Hi Folks,

I have a 1996 Sprint 900 that i'm reviving - and the main problem is with the swingarm. The P.O. overtightened the pincch bolts and snapped the aluminum ends off the swingarm, so to fix this I bought another used swingarm off eBay. Unfortunately, it appears to be from a different model (Executive, maybe?) as it is identical to mine except for the welded on lug for the brake caliper stay - which isn't there. Did different models have a caliper mounted UNDER the swingarm? Is there some way I can use this swingarm without an attachment point on the lower part of the frame for the stay?

Daytona's and speed triples had undergoing calipers. The brake torque arm mounts to the frame. You can pick up the torque arm easily enough on eBay, you could use your old caliper but wouldn't be able to bleed it properly as the bleed nipple would be in the wrong position, or get another one easily enough
