Well, fitted new plugs(DPR8's)and leads to my Super3,cleaned coil connections, made no difference to starting. What I noticed though, that plugs removed seemed to be right colour..light brownish, but one side of electrode was almost white.Could this be the K&N filter?Bike only seems to fire up when idle screw is turned in a few turns, and this is the only way it will stay running from cold start.Bike runs nice when warm though.Think valves need checking or carbs are way out?. I posted earlier that Trident inlet rubbers are shorter than std Daytona ones, and this seems true..by about 2-3mm,which does make intalling carbs a bit easier. What I also noticed is that they are tapered slightly. Haynes manual doesn't mention this,so I positioned them so that the widest point is at the highest. I think this offsets the engine slant? Anyway, the airfilter box fitted up nice to the carbs.I also removed the 2 locating plugs that fit into the airbox from the frame, gives a little more manouverability when fiitting. Ride fast but safe chaps
