seat Cover ?

A while back I recall someone mentioning purchasing a seat cover (Sargent?) and recovering their own seat. My 95 is ready. Anyone remember this ?

You mean this?

That's the easy way. With a little more effort & a lot less money, you can re-cover with some vinyl from the fabric store, a stapler, & a dryer or heat gun.

Mike,
that would probably be me as I have the sargents cover on my bike. It is first rate and the price is very good $65 is all that it cost me a few years ago. just as Kit mentioned you will need a heat gun and a staple gun. but I love the factory level of finish for less than a hundred dollars. I ordered mine with the griptex insert for the rider position and smooth for the passenger as I use the cowling and have no rear pegs. I cannot say enough how nice the product is! It has been on my bike for three to four years now and it is still like new.

sorry I do not have any closeups right now and you cannot see the seat pattern very well in these shots but it should give you some idea as to how well they fit. My wifes bike needs the seat cut and refoamed and a new cover made I will not have anyone else do the work after the fit and value that I got from sargents!

thanks for the compliments It means a lot coming from the people that appreciate them the most!

here are some close ups of the seat. I was going to pull the cowl but the bolts don't want to come out of the sleeves for the cowl. Not wanting to ruin a good thing I think I will leave well enough alone. I hate those "WHY DID I DO THAT!!!" moments

the foam is factory and everything is stock except the cover
"on the seat that is!"

Now all I need to go with the suspension and the looks is Hinckley's 955 motor. I am still envious!

Thanks.

Terry, thanks for the info. I was unable to view the photos? but i ordered from Sargents today. The griptex inserts are no longer an option, so I went for the stock look vinyl.
