My fan switch seems to have packed it in today.

Good thing I replaced that temp sensor last week!
I was coming back to Brooklyn from Manhattan earlier today. Pulled off the BQE & stopped at a light. The idle dropped & the motor cut out. I started it back up. It ran fine when I gave it a little gas, but died at idle. That's when I noticed the temp gauge was just into the red. Fortunately, I was very close to home. Made it back ok, leaving the engine off at stoplights.
I went through the tests in the Haynes; disconnecting the switch & jumping the fan wires made the fan work, so that points to a bad switch.
First question: does anybody have a spare they'd be willing to part with? I'm guessing it'll take 3 weeks to get from Bike Bandit, or at least a week from a local dealer....
Second question: does anyone know of a generic/other brand equivalent? (Preferably generic: Kawasaki 27010-1202 looks similar, but it costs a buck more.)
Third question: anybody got any ideas to keep me on the road 'til I get a new switch? The best I can come up with is rigging a manual switch.
Thanks,
-Kit
