Well now. Forgive me for any ignorance, but I do believe the Sprint ST is a great balance between sport and tour. As a new owner of a 2K2 Sprint ST (Blue) I am quite impressed with its overall abilities. Although I'm still in the break-in period, it is impressive to find that a 97 Yamaha YZF1000 is not much quicker than my Sprint ST.
I am however in the process of modifying this already quick bike. Can anyone tell me about the PowerMax underseat exhaust system? Is it all it's cracked up to be? Does it get 'too' hot for the passenger? Also too, Are there any good aftermarket fuel mapping modifications for this EFI system?
Looking forward to opening it up in the hills...
As a side note. Although under warranty, has anyone experienced fuel gage problems? This gage says full until I have about 50 miles left in the tank then it drops to the top of the red rather quickly (within 25more miles). It does not seem to descend smoothly over a full tank ride.
