If I'm lucky, it'll (bikini flyscreen) be here before next weekend. Pics to follow... :-)

Pre-screen. Was a perfect day to ride and enjoy the spring weather.

The Givi A755 project

My overall impression of the Givi A755 universal windscreen is a 4 out of 5 stars.

The finish is impeccable and it's well built. The brackets are the reason for it getting dinged for a star. The brackets appear to be laser-cut heat treated aluminum. The edge on one side of the bracket was razor sharp as they had not been dressed at all and still had the protective plastic sheeting on that side. I spent about 5 minutes dressing the edge with a flat file. I then sprayed mine with flat black exhaust spray paint and heated them to bake the finish. Mounting was fairly simple, but tight quarters as I wanted mine as far back as possible to get the front of the fairing as flush with the headlight as possible. To accomplish that, I had to grind down an Allen wrench to fit between the headlight anchor bolt and the inside of the fairing.
The Givi doesn't totally block the wind, but a major portion from mid-helmet down. Wind noise seems slightly louder at 70+, but definitely less buffeting. I've done a couple of 5+ hour rides on the Speed Triple and the wind starts to beat you down and take the edge off after 4 hours. The Givi seems to let enough around that it won't be too hot in the summer, but time will tell. As far as looks, the jury's still out on that one. Some time, it just looks fast, F-15ish. Other times, it looks like a tutu on a pit bull on a hooligan bike like the Speed Triple. The F-15 impression is winning out at the moment. I also like the fact that it does protect the gauges some. I did debate between the A750 and the A755. Unfortunately, I could only judge by the stock online photos I could find and crude measurements.
I purchased mine online from RL Motorcycles-Cycle Saddles.com Thomasville, GA. I ordered online on Saturday and received it on Wed.

Took it a step further and got rid of the elephant ears mirrors and went to bar ends.
