I'm looking for something to replace my old bike and am considering a 95+ trident since it's in my price range. I would love to hear from any owners out there about good/bad points and any mods that are a must or just cool! I'm primarily looking for a naked bike, but one with a useable place for a pillion. Thanks in advance! :-D

I got my '98 Trident on ebay. I watched a '97 Sprint go for $2500 on there. Guess I should quit looking after I buy.

I got my 96 dent on ebay for 2k. It had quite a bit of dammage, which is why it was so cheap. Parts to get it running have been under $500 used.

I love this bike! The steering is amaing, it purrs like a kitten and I suspect I could leave my husbands Adventurer in the dust.

You will want to drill the pipes out a little, it's a little to quiet. Also, replace the seat. I've never been on the backseat of any Trump with a stock seat that hasn't been awful (which is why I had to get my own!).

It's an all around perfect ride, IMHO. It's fast, reliable and dead sexy!

My 1996 Sprint (a Trident with more plastic) is a great bike indeed. Most important mod, particularly if you're short, is to lower the frame by rotating the chain adjusters 180 degrees and the triple trees by the same amount. I'm 5'7" and this mod made a very dodgy bike extremely comfortable. Also installed stainless hydraulic lines (much better feel and performance) and the front fender extension (from Triumph) to stop stuff from chipping my pipes. Finally, as with many of the T3s, had to replace HT and ign. pickup coils. A very robust fun machine that draws lots of attention.
