Does anyone know if Sprint or Trophy3 fairings are an easy fit to the Trident 1995 era ? They look like the same bike, but maybe a different type frame for mountings ? I don't want to drill or if I do very very minimal. Any suggestions ? I like the Sprint look.

Clocks, harness, & headlights will be your biggest problems. Have a look at your engine, wonder how you never noticed all those missing bolts, breathe a sigh of relief upon realizing that those threaded holes are for mounting a fairing... :-D

(First time I noticed the extra holes in the motor was when I was trying to track down an oil leak...)

Cheers,
-Kit

Yeah , I figured thats what the threaded holes were in the engine block, but how easily would fairing mount? Has anyone tried it ?

Friend of mine had a Sprint fairing put on his Trident.

All you need is the fairing, windshield and the mounting bracket. Easier said than it is to find.

It's easier to fabricate your own stays to fit a fairying - or at least I found it so - that way you can use your existing clock bracketry and not worry about conforming to it - see my album! On the steering head stem you'll find that the trident has 2 brackets, from those you can support a qtr. fairying with head lights, turn signals, at least.

Hello,
After many 600 - 700 mile day rides to Indy and Mi. from NJ with a Givi fly screen on a 98 Trident I was about to make a Las Vegas trip in April of 04. I decided I needed to get more protection and purchased a 95 Sprint fairing off ebay. I had no luck finding fairing stays or the dual round headlamp assembly. Purchased them new to the tune of about 500 bucks for the pair, fairing was 75 bucks and a new euro kick screen for 90, still far less than all new bits. It made the3 day, 2700 mile ride though rain, hail and 40 mile an hour wind much more enjoyable. Gages are the trick, cut the tabs of my gauger bracket and refit to fairing stay, trimmed dash. can send pics if you like.
regards
Rick

Hi,

As well as fitting/adapting the Sprint parts, there is the original Trident accessory offered by Sprint Manufacturing.

It is rumoured to be this accessory that prompted Triumph to produce our model.

Ciao,
Geoff
