I am thinking about installing a set of D&D slip ons on my '95 Sprint. What is the collective experience of everyone else here who has used them? Did you have to re-jet the carbs?

I did not re-jet and it runs fine on mine.
Did not notice any flat spots ,etc.
It does seem to need half to partial choke a just a little longer till full warm up.
I left the factory honeycomb spark arrestors inside the main pipe. You will see them when you take off the original mufflers. They just slip in.
I also installed a K&N filter but left the factory intake plastic tubes that come off the airbox untouched. Sure I may be restricting some airflow but I think it is all kind of balanced out.
SHe runs great for my riding style and have received some nice compliments on the sound and install. The first being how quiet they are for D&D's. I think the 3 in 2 set up is best vs trying to stuff 3 or even 4 cylinders through just one of these cans. This is possible where the bad rap comes from these D&D's.
If your not out to terrorize the town or hunt Gixers or ZX10's then you should be fine with your current carb set up.

Ride safe

Thanks for the info! I suspect I will be OK, since the bike seems a little rich as it is. However, I do live at about 4000' foot elevation. New pipes with less restriction usually mean a leaner mixture. I am hoping they will be "spot on" for my elevation. I guess we will see when I get them mounted.

I just installed some CF D&D's on my '97 Trident. I did not rejet and it seems to be running fine, although the current jetting is actually rejetted from when I had some Microns installed a few years back. Not sure if this helps you or not!

Thanks for the reply's! I actually installed them yesterday and they work OK. They seem to have richened up the mix quite a bit. I don't think it is anything a little carb tweaking can't fix though.

And yes, these D&D's are truly obnoxious in the sound volume department! Sort of like a Peterbuilt with fart cans on it.
