Hi all
I have a 96 sprint 900. A couple of months ago the fork seals started leaking slightly, so I changed them both. Within a couple of weeks, the left hand one started leaking again, I thought probably a dodgy new seal, I`ve had that happen before, so I changed the left hand one again. unfortunately, its still leaking. I cant find any sharp bits or bad pit marks on the stanchion. Any ideas anyone, do I need a new (or probably) secondhand stanchion?
Cheers
Gary

Perhaps there is a burr elsewhere on the fork tube that is damaging the seal during installation? Just a thought...

Check the fork bushes. If they are worn-out you can't stop the leak.
I change my fork seals four mounts ago, and when I went to the dealer to buy seals, he told me that I must change the bushes at the same time. I buy bushes and seals, change them and I have no leaks since then.

Thanks for the reply. Was it both top & bottom bushes or just the top ones? My local Triumph dealer says he has never sold bottom ones.
