Copper head gasket

Has anyone made and used a copper head gasket on a T3 series motor. I have just looked at the price of a gasket from Triumph, shocking price of 130.00 pounds!!!!!!

Lings has them for £53. They're made of at least two kinds of plastic and one kind of metal; I don't know that I'd trust plain copper to replace one.

Cheers,

And I got a whole gasket kit from Sprint for 104 of your uk pounds - so 130 for just the head gasket seems a bit steep.
