how much fork oil

hi,I know you are supposed to measure the fork oil by measuring from the top of tube with spring out and fork fully depressed. However I am unable to remove my fork legs as one of clamp bolts on each side is seized and will not move.Does anyone know how much volume of oil I need to put in each leg,my bike is a 95 sprint,as this will save me having a big job done. also I believe thr weight of oil should be 10w is atht correct? many thanks

Hi, when I stripped down my 95 Daytona to replace the seals I measured the oil level as the book says and I only had a very little oil left out of a 1 liter bottle, perhaps 50mls. I think the forks are the same on the sprint as they are on the Daytona so approx 1/2 liter per fork

Not sure about the sprint, but alot of the trophy owners suggest 15w as a budget way to reduce front end dive. The sprint may not be as bad about dive though, being a little more sporty and all the springs might be stiffer?
