How much to insure a 1995 Speed Triple for?

Hi there. A pretty much standard black 95 Speed Triple, 18190 miles which appears to be correct with service history. Just some work needed on the tank around the filler. Also trip refuses to work. Rev counter fine, no nasty noises when turning it over (hopefully the Sprag clutch is ok), so a bit of tlc should have it looking good. Got braided hoses.

Wondering how much to insurer her for and where to find links to service schedule, download able owners manual etc.

Many thanks.

Hi. Found and downloaded the manuals.
Wondering what height to set the forks in the yokes (as they are a long way up through them at the moment).
Thinking of insuring for £2k - any thoughts?
Hope the weather clears up for us all.
Cheers

I've insured mine for £3k but only really matters with agreed valuation deals. Go classic insurance too if you can.

Fork Legs

Hi there - you needfor the fork legs to be 28 mm above the top yoke. I measure this to the top of the fork leg rather than the screw in top cap. In 96 they changed to being flush with the yoke - I think there were also some mods to the forks.

Hi. Many thanks for your replies. Just getting to grips with it. Without an alarm (under seat has a currently unused female plug with multiple pins that I'm guessing used to be plugged into the alarm) adding it to my Carole Nash multi bike as a modern classic was a bit steep.
Seat release is reluctant so just been lubing it.
Paint going around the fuel filler cap.
Front battlax needs replacing.
Rhs main casing grazed from what looks like slow speed off.
Plenty to get on with.
Cheers,
Andy

Andy, as with Silkie I was going to say £3k.

Hi Silkie, who did you do your agreed value insurance with as my insurance company wouldn't do it.

Did you tell them about all those lovely non-standard extras ?

Evening Chello,

Not on agreed valuation just yet but I will be come the next renewal. My extras are all fully declared on my current policy though and always will be as the slippery f$ck$rs look for any excuse not to pay out.

Next year I'll be looking at Adrian Flux, I used them for a highly tweaked Mini Cooper I had as a lad and they where very reasonable, looks like they branched out into bikes since then.

Let us know if you get a good quote from them fella.
