I've been working on the bike a bit lately & thought I'd share a couple pics. I love the look of the flyscreen! Much like a tiny piece of lingerie can make a naked woman even more appealing, I think the little screen makes my naked bike even better looking. Of course, also like lingerie, it doesn't really do a lot from a functional standpoint...

So, I did a functional upgrade as well. The stainless brake lines from a Daytona 1200 come very close to fitting on a Trident. :hammer: It was a bit more of a pain than I'd figured on (literally: my arm was sore for a couple days), but after moving the master cylinder a half inch in & getting everything screwed back together my braking is much improved. Here are a couple of pics:

Cheers,
-Kit

Edit: Umm, interesting. The forum software censors the word "s*****", as in "s***** metal", synonyms part, piece, portion, remains, junk...

Nice handywork Kit.

Also looks like the handgrips are wearing fishnets... :-D

I like the looks of the grips. How do they feel? Who makes 'em and where do you get 'em?

Thanks, RG. Hadn't occurred to me that that's what the grips look like, but it would explain why I like 'em so much. :-D I just replaced 'em a few minutes after taking those pics, but the new pair is as close to identical as I could find.

Pendraig: No clue who makes 'em. They feel fine, though I always wear gloves, & they're gel. I got the new ones from eBay. The seller's name is cycleacc & the grips are always available in the seller's store.

Cheers,
-Kit

Nice screen - what make is it ?
I'll be in the market for one soon and there's some ugly examples around.

The screen is a National Cycle Flyscreen LS. I picked it up on eBay for a song, then spent more than I did on the screen to get the correct brackets from the company. The correct model number is either N2536 or N2537 respectively, depending on whether you want light or dark tint. (I still ended up paying less than half price by getting the N2533 from eBay, then getting the brackets direct.)

HTH,
-Kit

I fitted a Puig flyscreen to my trident recently. I got it from Hein Gericke and it fitted easily (and is type approved for the trident). It's also £15 less than any of the other screens I could find!
