Hey Sprinters,
I ride a 96 Sprint 900. I do not like the "Meep-meep" road-runner horns on my bike. Does anyone know what kind of hornet's nest (if any) I will stir up if I swap stock units for the mighty fiams?

Zippy;
Here is the URL for their website. There is a graph on there showing ampearge draw rates for various models, as well as db's.
I knew a guy who had tractor-trailer air horns on his ('79-80?) CB-750. He had an electic compressor stuffed somewhere beneath the seat (probably where the airbox belonged), and the trumpets clamped to the fork stanchion. Scared the h3ll outta cage drivers that crowded him, too. You can hook up anything if you're willing to go to the extra trouble.

The POS Yamaha I was on for the 2 weeks between the KZ & the Trident had airhorns. It was amazing. Scared the h-e-double hockey sticks out of some cab drivers in Midtown traffic. :-D I loved 'em, 'til they scared me! :evil: Seems there was something wonky with the horns, & the button sometimes acted as a kill switch! I don't know about anyone else's riding style, but the way I ride I usually don't want to kill the motor when I'm beeping the horn. :razz: Anyway, I'm still not sure if the wiring was bad or if the compressor just drew too much power or what, but do be careful if you go that route!

Long as I'm posting in this thread... I'd love to get more sound from my horns as well. Anyone know of generics that'll be louder, but will fit the covers? Will I have to replace the relay as well?

Cheers,
-Kit

There it is. I don't know why the "paste" didn't take the first time.
Sorry

Now I am more curious about mounting the air-horns...
