Clutch noise ... '95 Sprint

my clutch has begun making a little vibration when i first let it out. just a little vibration and shudder. could be early signs of a worn-out clutch.

thoughts?

Howdy again, Sprintster! What you are describing sounds like a rapid "gripping, then slipping"of the clutch discs. It is possible that the driven plates are glazing over, and may need replacing. Before you consider doing so, I would suggest you check the type of motor oil you're using. The early Sprint/Trident/Trophy uses semi synthetic oil, NOT full synthetic. Full synthetic is too slippery, and will cause the clutch to slip/shutter upon engagement.............

thanks, puffer. i'm running golden spectro synthetic blend. i think you are right, though ... plates might need to be replaced.
