The guys at the shop where I bought my 00 Thunderbird have been very informative about preformance mods - Speed Triple cams, Thunderbird Sport front end, rear suspension upgrade along with appropriate wheels and tires. I'm tempted, but have yet to do the mods because I love the way the bike looks. As a large percentage of my riding is in the mountains, the extra power and suspension will most likely be too great a temptation to resist. But 23,000 trouble-free miles is a reason not to fix something that works great...

Hey guitarslinger dude !!! Do you play guitar (Duhh) ? If so, what kind and what kind of music ???

I'm a rabid electric guitar practicer. SRV, Hendrix fan. Many many years of music education but only two years on the guitar.

Ric,
I play mostly blues and rock, currently have 9 guitars but am no longer a "professional." I play for fun. We can talk guitars (and Triumphs) if you like. RMTill2@aol.com

the easy way to gain 10hp is to change the resticted rubber carb inlets to standard Trident types.needs the airbox removed to fit so use a mechanic if unsure.improve front suspension by fitting progressive springs e.g.Hagon.Fit a harris 6pot front brake caliper and uprate the master cylinder.that will transform the bike.mine has 30000 miles and runs perfectly.if you want more performance then buy a Speed Triple - awesome, but keep the t'bird.that's what I did.
