Hi,
The Thunderbird had a 32ps Restrictor Kit available (Triumph Part# A9618000). It may be worth talking to your Triumph Dealer to see if this is still available, and whether it could be fitted & certified for your Sprint.

Ciao, Geoff

p.s. A further thought - the Sprint is a very heavy bike to learn with, and perhaps you should think about a small light bike until qualified - and then move "up" to the Sprint? Perhaps walk your mates Sprint around a car-park to see what I mean - the Sprint is great once moving, but not very agile for "test" work like a smaller bike.

Hey Nelliecat:

I learned to ride on a little, light, Kawasaki KZ440. I did almost a year on that bike before I bought my 900. While I hate to discourage you from buying a fine machine, I have to say that I'm very glad I had the experience on the KZ before I ever put a leg over this one! The T3 bikes are all topheavy, powerful beasts that are really not suited for beginners. Restricting the engine will take care of the excess power, but the weight is an issue...

I do so love my Trident now, though!

-Kit
