Well, after a six years of standing down, I took the plunge and bought a 96 Sprint. My first impression is that it simply wants to go very very fast. God save my license.

Heh. Congrats! I bought my '96 Trident with a broken speedo cable. I started riding a lot slower when I got the new cable! :-D (& I still can't seem to keep it to 5 over.)

Cheers,
-Kit

Congratulations, just like you I was out of the saddle for about six years and then went and got a 98 900 trident, and as you said these bikes just wat to go fast. What are you impressions on motorcyling now after quite a long lay off? Is it as enjoyable as before? Is the technology baffleing?
My own thoughts are that there is a lot of traffic on the roads and car drivers are a lot less courteous to bikers than they used to be, and things seem to have got quite expensive. Take care and as they say in this part of the world 'keep it between the hedges'.

Welcome Zip,

These Sprint 900s are terrific machines. You'll love yours. If you happen to run into a glitch with your Triumph somewhere down the road give us a shout, we've run into just about everything and can probably steer you in the right direction. We're happy to help around here.

Yes, Wanny, I too have noticed a distinct lack of courtesy and ability on the part of more drivers than I did before. I also echo your sentiment on the state of technology-amazing. This is the fastest machine I have ever owned. I do love it (been looking for excuses to go somewhere).

j98, thanks, I will.
