Has anyone out there fitted the high level exhausts from a Tiger to a Trident or Sprint?

I am thinking of doing this to my 97 Trident so any Tiger parts would need to come from a pre fuel injection model.

Any info appreciated

The high level cans from the early Daytonas, S3s and Sprint Sports (all pre-fuel injection) can also be made to fit.

I'm not sure about the Tiger cans but have also thought about that mod. The high cans from a Speed 3 or Daytona mount right up if you have the passenger peg brackets for the high pipe models. The downside is your passenger will lose some legroom. But they also won't be bumping into your feet as often. Really not a bad trade-off! My Speed 3 has many Trident parts on it now. There really isn't much that won't interchange.

Hi,

I would imagine the Tiger system would require much modification around the seat and rear mudguard areas. Being modular, I guess the Tiger sub-frame, etc.. could be fitted, but I wonder if the seat position would match up with the Trident tank?

As mentioned by others, you can go for the swept up exhaust look of the Daytona, Speed Triple and Sprint Sport. I have a (distorted) picture of the two different hangers as an example of the difference. Interestingly the upswept hanger was fitted to the Trident originally (i.e. early versions from '91), but changed later to give more passenger leg stretch, however it was retained on the Daytona, etc....

Ciao, Geoff
