Fixed low fuel warning light (sender)

Hi All,
I hope that I have put this post in the right place anyway I had a problem that I learned about the hard way when I ran out of petrol
So when I got the bike home I did all the checks to isolate the problem and found it to be a faulty low fuel sender unit, Then I un-screwed the unit from the bottom of the tank and found that the sensor at the top of the unit had come away from the metal post (see picture). I then re-soldered the sensor into position and put a small zip tie on just to make sure and it now looked as it should (see picture).
I re-installed the unit and I now have a working low fuel light so I thought I would post it here to help other members. Terry.

Very similar to the repair I did a couple years ago, though I used baling wire instead of solder and a zip tie.

Cheers,
-Kit
