neutral switch

Does anyone here have experience changing out the neutral switch on the T-3's? I've been doing a little research on replacing the switch in my Daytona 900, and it looks like a bitch of a job.

Use a thin walled socket and an extension - bit fiddly but not too bad

I've been cleaning up, and consequently having a hard time finding anything at all...

I've just managed to find my Haynes manual, and I strongly suggest you get one. the Neutral switch is located between the sprocket cover and the water pump, very much on the outside of the left side of the crankcase. Don't know where the folks on those other sites are getting their info, but there's no need to split the cases.

Cheers,
-Kit

Yeah i've gone through three neutral switches in as many years, it's really getting on my wick cos they're not that cheap... at least not in england from where i get em... Yeah thin walled socket and just be ready for losing a bit of oil but just block it with a finger or rag whilst getting the new one ready.. Mick

Thank you gentlemen. Second time I've heard about needing the thin-walled socket. And a bit sheepish having to be told to get a repair manual. I'll take care of that one today, Kit. Thank you guys so much.
