Trident 900 Corbin seat question

Hello folks! I am trying to buy a Corbin seat for my '98 Trident 900. Corbin are asking if this is the same size as the '96 model ( i guess thats the one their seat is modelled on). The local Triumph dealer cannot seem to confirm this (I thought it would be a simple question?) as they need a VIN number for both years to be able to check a part number.

I know the tail light was changed from rectangle to oval in these years but does any wise soul out there know if the seats are the same for each (same subframe mountings etc etc) ? Thanks much!

I'd guess yes, but the guys in the T3 Sport Touring forum will be the ones with the first hand experience.

Maybe a look at the bikebandit fiches for each year/model would show the same part # for the seat, subframe etc?
