I think today has been the hottest day I've experienced since moving to Scotland. I finished work at 4.30 so it was off on the bike for a trundle up to higher altitudes. Ended up at the Lecht Ski Centre, a bit like going to Skeggie in the middle of winter!

How hot is it over there? It was 95 Fahrenheit (35 celsius) here in Pennsylvania yesterday. I rode home from work with the helmet strapped to the luggage rack. The wind in my face felt like a furnace. Had to get my wife to run inside the house and get a spatula from the kitchen to get my butt pried loose from the saddle.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck driving in the city in Edinburgh. Too ****ed hot to get stuck at traffic lights - I got stuck at every single one today! From where I am I can head out on great country roads in the borders and east lothian - North Berwick is a pretty good run, nice roads and few cars (as there's a dual carriageway runs most of the way almost in parallel)

It's been 100+ (40C) around here all week. I found it's actually cooler to wear the helmet with the faceshield down to block the hot wind. Haven't tried the trick with the spatula yet. :-D

Try 106. It has been hovering around 106 to 108 for the last few days here.
