$13k T309
I'd heard that early Speedies were becoming collectible and fetching good money, but this guy is dreaming!
It is very nice but $13,500!

If it sells, I may see what I can get for my dead Trident down under...
Cheers,

there's quite a few around for under £2,000 over here - might be time to divert those hedge funds into something a bit more meaningful!

Maybe it is a typo. Where did they find the $2000 cans? Are they worth it? I want to say something glib and facetious but nothing springs to mind. Anyone?

Let's see, $13,500 Aussie is about U.S. $12,000. Still much too high. I saw a beautifull '95 yellow D12 with carbon fiber bits like a Super III on EBay this past Summer. Bidding topped out at U.S. $4,500 and did not meet the reserve. So I can't see the logic behind this dealer's price, except maybe he thinks some uninformed fool will come along. Of course, I would like to see values go up as these bikes are under appreciated IMO.

"...fast appreciating bike." -- from the ad
Much faster in the seller's mind than the rest of the world's! Most likely scenario is the wife says "Sell it." and the husband says "I've posted an ad, Honey."

there's been a very nice super III for sale in Richmond for $4500, virtually all stock. I doubt if we'll see 13k T309s any time soon!

The guys dreaming. Doesn't look as good as Mot's (which I consider to be the standard for that funny shade of black, which is the best colour) either pre or post paint job.
And the 'mufflers' look like stock.
Just my opinion.

Hey...isn't that one of those rare 3-cylinder v-twins...?
If so, then it's way under-priced!

welcome to aussie way of thinking go to here http://www.bikepoint.com.au/?se_id=sem and check out the prices for trumpys , bikes hold there value a lot more over here always have i see bike on US ebay that i would buy for spares but shipping kills it , dealers here always aim for the top $ then if you are serious they will deal and the dealer that has this one is known to be expensive for eveything ,spares are the same thats why i buy everthing i need over the net from UK or US can usually get it for half price or less including exchange rate and post ,i have never seen a trident advertised for less than $5000 over here but , we cant import a bike newer than 1987 unless we have owned it and lived overseas for 12 months or more or you can bring it in and it has to have an inspection for ADR australian design rules amd that cost about $1500 and dont forget GST tax 10% , we cant by helmets from overseas because we have or own testing even if the it has snell approval ??? and i could go on and on ,but i live in the best country in the world no doubt
