Well, I replaced my old battery with a Yuasa YTH14AH(L)-BS that so far seems to do the job quite well. It had been recommended in another thread in this forum. Given how well the older triples liked to boil water out of the standard battery, it has been nice to only have to remember to plug in my battery tender each time I park my bike and not worry about the water level.

ivincent, Twice now a new battery was needed after normal business hours for a M/C shop. Both batterys are Everstart brand and were bought at Wal-Mart, both doing well. First battery now about two years old, second is about a month (different bikes) and is an AGM design.

Yuasa's good, Dekka's good, I forget who makes 'em but BradTX isn't the only one who likes the Walmart house brand. Not sure what you get down under, maybe one of the other Aussies will speak up?
Cheers,

Agreed, you can get them from Battery world or Battery allsorts for $130. Only thing is the terminals are round the other way from normal. So make sure your terminal leads will reach before handing over the $'s.

Yuasa says to use their YTX14AHL-BS for the T3s; I believe the "L" in that part number specifies terminals right way round.
Cheers,

Hi,
I use a Deka ETX15L in my 95'Daytona 900 ,got it from Battery World for Approx $165.00 a couple of years ago.
Very good battery i.m.o & we all know we need very reliable strong CCA batteries for these bikes.
cheers

Looks like I'm going for this one at $195AUD. I like the higher CCA.
Cheers everyone!!
UPdate!!! Just rang Charlie at Turn1 and he quoted me $105! So I'm going to swing past tomorrow as he's going to charge one up for me...and swap it over! He also recommended DEKA. Thanks guys...

OK - This might be a stupid question, but I choose to endure any criticism/schooling.
What is the story with Gel-type batteries? I have heard that they are smaller, lighter weight and also require no maintenance...but cost more. And, are they compatible with these bikes?
Note: I am also using a sealed Yuasa maintenance free battery and enjoy not have to fill the thing up all the time.
