The exhaust is crushed, the wheel exploded, but the rest of the bike is straight as an arrow. thanks to BernieBikes, I got the front end together now. I took those ugly aluminium plates off, I will fix foot pegs with the exhaust bracket, with higher pipes than on a trophy(thats what this bike was). I also removed the bulky plastic sides, I'll replace them with some of my own fabrication, likely acrylic sheet.

the bike hasn't been running for 5 or six years, it looks like it was stored right, the compression looks real good. I need a starter now.

Have to say that the back end looks like it was stored in a pond for a year.
Nice thing about a project bike is that when you have finished you have the extra pride of creating a unique machine with your own hands. I think it is a good model to use as a project and perhaps the end product will look something like a roque Speed Triple.
I don't envy the work, but I may the result.

the clutch
the clutch feels like its welded together, I haven't started the motor yet, and I tried to turn the wheel with the clutch compressed and it feels like a rock. thats because there was a lot of water in the crankcase, and it jammed together. First I'll start the motor and then I'll worry with that.....

That can't be a good sign. Hope the repairs in store for the bike are doable. I'm watching with a great deal of interest. Thanks for sharing.

I cleaned the carbs, with some stinky stuff, my chemical balance has never been the same... the air box is to hard to pull out to still want to put it back. the pod filters are goin to be the option, but I'll keep the original air box just in case

the bike looks better without the rear swingarm fender, but I ride in the rain, so might as well save it for rainy days. your comments and suggestions are welcome
