Paint.....purists look away now !

Alright folks...been a bit busy over the last couple of months with the Speed triple, I fitted a Cibie headlamp unit, Osram Night Breaker bulb & Superlux LED side light along with replaceing all of the instrument lights for LEDs too. Rear bulbs where replaced with some 13 Superlux LED stop Tails for good measure !

I sent off to Hong Kong, of all places, for some black Nikko horns to replace the chrome rimmed ones.

Over the past year I have also been collecting replacement body work from ebay, I already had a tank that I bought (£10 bargin or what) for the filler cap for the Sprint it also came with the tap & fuel sender that I sold for £25 whoo hoo....side panels from a Super III for £20 the pair ! and a Carbon front fender for £45 that was non factory and the carbon was not top notch...but I had plans for that ;-) Carbon rear hugger on the bike was going to get the paint treatment too..

Anyroad took all the bits to a chap I know for paint, I had mocked up what I wanted at home from a idea I had on here about a year ago...nothing too way out, still wanted to see it was an Orange Speed Triple but wanted too "moody it up" a bit, I always though the white decals where a bit girly....Orange & white..naaahhh Orange & black..yeah !!!

Bolted back together this evening and rattled off a few pics, they don't do it justice but I'll get some proper ones into the picture thread soon, just as soon as I get some fuel into it.

Mot,

I do believe I have to hate you. You took what was one of the best looking s3's out there and, well, made it even cooler. Like ice, man, like ice.

The problem is, even if I could afford to do something like that, I would always know that I copied you.

And that is why I have to hate you.

Wow MOT your S3 is looking better than ever - great job. Can I ask how much for the paintwork?

He used a stencil cut to my design so the end result is all paint ;-).. you can run your finger over the pattern and feel no seam...

Oh and Ditto thanks you had me laughing...cheers

Mot, all I can say is "Screw the paint purists!" (such language!).
Your bike looks great! I wish that I could afford a trip over to see it... and a few other things.

Congrats lad...she's a keeper!
