suspension arm wear

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know what the wear limits are on the suspension arms? Im about to take mine to bits to clean up the spindles as one of the arms that connects to the swingarm is siezed in place in its alloy arm. I will strip down to bushes and bearings but Im not sure how to judge if the bush,spindle / bearing assembly is worn, are there any given measurements? moving the arms side to side gives a little free play but not much. Ive read Mots page about it, very helpful, but I need to be able to judge what the limits are.
By the way, can those dinky little oil seals really be a fiver each ?? gulp !

Sorry, clear as mud !, I meant one of the bushes that connects to the swingarm is siezed in place in its alloy arm.
