Sprint 900 carb inlet jubillee clips

I have just noticed that there is one missing on the left carb of my `new` bike. Will it be possible to fiddle one of these on without taking anything apart? If not, what will be the easiest way of doing it? This is between the air box and carb by the way.

If the clip is a standard worm drive (Jubilee) type, no problem with everything in place. You can undo the clip so the end comes out, then loop it over the inlet connector, push the end back in the worm drive and tighten it up. You should be able to do it in a couple of minutes - good luck!

That was what I was hoping. I just nipped round the corner to my local bike shop and picked one up. Will fit this evening.

On my Speedtriple, the rubbers have a groove in the for the clip to sit in, this is only about 8-9 mil wide, if your clip is 12 mm wide, which many 50 dia ones are, and not the 8 mm fitted originally it maybe wont fit properly, dont ask how I know this!,,,and yes, you can wrap the opened clip around the rubber and screw it together again, if its the right width,,ggggrrr !!

Fitted tonight. Actually took 2 mins, and yes the clip I got was the narrower type and fits in the groove perfectly. Problem solved.
