Sprint 900 mirror removal

I have got a replacement mirror on order as my left one is broken. I had a quick look at removing th eold one and it looks like it will be impossible without removing something else first. Is this correct?

You can replace just the mirror & not the mounting hardwear if it helps, by unbolting where it pivots ?

If not then yes you probably need to remove the fairing inners to gain access to the mounting bolts from the inside.

It`s the whole thing that needs to come off I am afraid.

Mirror removal

Hi fella, i recently got knocked off mine and had to strip the mirrors off the fairing before i removed it for repair, to get to the mirrors i went up from under the fairing....you can,t see it, you need to feel your way, i believe with a short 10 mil ring spanner,2 nuts on each mirror, was fiddley but doable

I done it without any bother the other night. Took the two srews out at the bottom of the instruments to allow them to be moved and then the two screws which hold the black infill to the fairing. That half of the black infill could then be removed to give easy access to the mirror bolts. Whilst I was at it I drilled a hole in the black bit and fitted a 12V supply for charging/sat nav etc. It is the perfect place as it will kept out of the weather.
