Smile D12 Shakedown Ride

Greetings All,

Put my 96 D12 back together this week, gassed it up and put over 200 miles on it
this afternoon. Rides real nice. Very smooth, love the torque. I have the taller windscreen,
Heli bars, and Sargent Seat. After Three hours It was only my kneck was a little sore.
I was going to sell it but it ran so well I think I will keep it now.

Saw a pristine 95 model in Mass sell for $3100 last week. If I didnt already have a red one
I would like to have bought that nice black one.

What kind of fuel economy do you guys with the big 1200 motors get? I only got
28-31 today.

Best Regards

Granted I have an extra cylinder on my 93' I usually get about 160 miles out of a tank on the highway going sbout 70-80 mph. City isn't so great, not sure the exact figure. Definately an awsome bike, I've ridden various late model 600cc bikes and they're fun but the Daytona is pure British muscle. Not for the faint of heart, my wife who has been riding bikes well before she could legally drive will not ride it. Then again it's quite a bike for a 120lb girl to stand up. I love it.
