Need Help Again Silly Question Time ?

Might be a silly question but got no manual for this bike yet.
I want to lower the bike a little.
When i replaced my battery the other day i noticed just under the tank a pot with a view window with 1 to 5 on it.
With what i think is a 8 or 10ml Bolt Nut.
Set at 5 at the moment
Is this to lower and raise the bike ?

Thanks For Any help Alf.

That's the preload on the rear shock; one is soft and five is hard.

The quick and dirty way to lower the bike is to rotate the rear axle adjusters 180 degrees and then raise the fork tubes in the triple clamps to lower the front end by the same amount.
