more guidance from the Gurus

Still working my way through the sprag replacement.
98 Sprint Executive.
cases split sprag out. (51 tooth version)

And as usual with me more questions than answers.........

#1.Will I need to "shave" or alter the case to fit in a new
replacement 51 tooth sprag?

#2. Can I fit a 53 tooth sprag IF I change the starter gear?
And before anyone thinks I am daft read the reason for #2 below.

#3. is the 53 tooth a heavier duty superior piece of kit?

#4. If I use the 53 tooth version do I need to alter the cases?

Thanks in advance. Awaiting guidance................

I apologize in advance, but I have no experience with sprags... even after running a low battery for somewhere around 7 months. I think that statistically classifies me as Lucky (or stoopid).

Good luck with your repair. There are more than a few qualified individuals around here.
