Street Triple Tail Tidy

I can now report that the R&G tailtidy DOES fit on the Street Triple with standard underseat exhaust. And it looks fab!! Really improves the back. Will post photos when i have time

Hi, yes you must show us pix, I saw the link to R & G and wondered if it was worth buying, was it easy to fit? Cheers

Smile RG Tail Tidy

Al in all pretty impressive, partly because R & G have been so quick to produce it but also because it's nicely made, well thought out and comes with almost fool-proof instructions and everything you need to fit it.
The R & G LED number plate light is a nice touch and much classier than the original Triumph item. Full marks to R & G - job well done.

Cool Number plate

Hi,

Bike looks really cool with the tidy. I just looked at the fitting instructions on R&G's site and it stated that the number plate may have to be drilled. Did you have to drill yours to fit?

Adam.

I had to drill a couple of new holes when I fitted it not a prob tho as I intend to fit a smaller plate (I have a 7" x 5" on the sprint and have never had any trouble with the police)

i can't picture how the standard underseat exhaust system would fit with this tail tidy. do the cans still fit above it? otherwise, it seems like they would be blowing hot exhaust directly on to the turn signal lights, which can't be a good thing.

The moment I've been waiting for!!!

Looks really good.

Can anybody tell me if it really fits with the standard exhaust, and are there any pics of this?

Finally, can someone tell me what the maximum width of the number plate can be? I need to get mine ordered, so if someone could tell me, that would be great

Cheers,

Vince

Number plate / Registartion plate sizing (U.K)

There doesn't appear to be any dimensions for the plate itself on the DVLA website,(maybe i ain't looking hard enough), but there are specific measurements for the lettering, i have listed 2 links below that provide that info.

http://www.dvla.gov.uk/media/pdf/leaflets/v796.pdf
http://www.newreg.co.uk/services/acr...ic_plate_rules

Found some plate dimensions on this website:
http://tradeplates.com/stylesbike.html

Plate Sizes
LEGAL SIZE 241 MM X 171 MM (9.5" X 6.5")

205 MM X 170 MM (8" X 6.5")

175 MM X 125 MM (7" X 5")

160 MM X 100 MM (6" X 4")

100 MM X 100 MM (4" X 4")

Talking

Well, here's the evidence!

I think it looks great, but I may be slightly biased!
