Got the bike- how do I wipe the stupid grin off my face now??
I put the deposit on my bike back on Sunday... I got a call today that my bike will be in tomorrow!! Unfortunately, I leave out of town tomorrow morning until Sunday and I can't get a ride to the dealer 100 miles away until around NEXT wd or thurs.

What can I do to pass the boredom/insanity of waiting? I've been pretty much looking at pictures and videos nonstop the past couple days... the wait is killing me!!

edit- got the bike post #17

To pass time when you can't ride a motorcycle?

Drinking works for me.

Just grab a road map. Figure out all the roads, however remote, you are going to take it (her) to. Do some planning . But be daring. Turn that -legitimate- anticipation of yours into a PROJECT, as opposed to something that's... killing you. You wanna go for roads with curves with lots of down and up-shifting. You wanna avoid the fallacy of highway break-in mileage. You wanna gradually build INTIMACY with the bike.

With best wishes. Jamie

Gosh, I don't know what you could do to pass the time for an excruciating whole week. I managed to deal with a 5 month wait after putting down my deposit. I'm not sure what I would have done if I had to wait a week. I somehow think you'll manage just fine.

WELCOME TO THIS FORUM GANJORA,

PS. A couple of extra pints and you'd be owning a Rocket III

With best wishes. Jamie

Hi Jamie.

Well, you got me worried now, I'll have to be more careful with my drinking.

Actually, if money was no object, I'd have a Rocket III, rigged to pull a trailer,
and have a light weight sailing dinghy on the trailer.

Is it true that with one of those _big_ triples, when you give it a few revs then dump the clutch, it doesn't really accelerate, but the world's rate of spin changes?

I have to wait until Octocber for my black Street3. (And that is "maybe", my dealer said) Then to ship to Vietnam will takes another month. But I know: My dream bike is coming...
