Another solution for "buzzy" bars

The bars on my Streety are unusually buzzy (seemingly compared to others on here) and make my hand/fingers go numb after 30 mins of riding. I am looking into softer grips, bar end weights (without much luck)...and today I received another tip from fellow rider at work. He does NOT have a Streety. However he DOES suffer the same wraith as me. He told me he took off his bars (upright style, one piece) and put "contractors style" spray foam in them (the kind that expands). He told me this absorbed the vibration (making the bar feel more solid). As Streety owners know...our bikes have that pesky welded-in spot (not like a normal open end bar). Oh you clever Triumph!..like auto manufacturers, Bike manufacturers are finding clever ways to "lock out" the aftermarket companies and you are "locked in" to Triumph ONLY parts! At any rate...he swears this works. So if you have aftermarket bars (with the standard OPEN end)...you may want to try this. I cannot confirm that it works as I have not tried it. Just passing along the tip to you

Sand?...hmmm. That's another new one! Would probably work too. My only worry with sand would be that sand absorbs moisture and I'd worry that the bars would rot from the inside.

Cool

There are three types of foam used, #1, a latex type, does not expand much and not good with water. #2, a minimal expanding type and MOSTURE resistant, would be so-so. #3, is a triple expanding type and is water PROOF. I could see where this practice would help, not a cure. Its simple enough, would only add 8 ounces or so. You can buy a refrigerator clear nylon water water line and slip it over the short piece that comes with the foam can, this way you can get the foam in the middle. Cover any area that the foam might drip out of the bar end onto the bike.
