Just curious if anybody in Canada has taken possession of a Street Triple yet and if so, what they paid?

I stopped at the dealer today and had a little chat with the sales guy who told me that they don't discount their bikes...they aren't Japanese he said. But that they could do a no payment/no interest for 6 months deal on the Street. With an MSRP of $9999 (that's 2 grand more than in the states), pus $995 for freight/PDI and 12% taxes (provincial sales and federal goods & services) it was $12,313 OTD.

They had a green one on the floor ready to go. It's been there for at least a month based on when I first saw it appear in their ads. So for such an in-demand, hot bike, why is it still there? Is it because it's green? He said there were 2 orders for black ones. If I wanted one now, this was the only one on a Canadian showroom floor he said. Brought it in from Hamilton he said.

I don't think the naked bikes are as big here in Canada as they are in Europe. I'm thinking there may be more room for negotiating.

I bought mine in Windsor NS, it's black, I ordered it last Aug, and it arrived at the end of January, the price was 9999 plus 750 for freight/PDI and 13% taxes, no deals on the bike price.

But they did install my accesories for free:
seat cowl, belly pan, wind and bug screen, frame sliders, hugger, and the clear tail light, so that's a couple hours of labour.

He told me that it's the only one on the east coast.

I'm from Québec and the price tag was 9999$ + 350$ freight/PDI. I ordered it in November and last week, I got the info that it was on is way to Canada. In fact, they ship it to US and from there to Canada. That's why I must wait for another 2-3 weeks before getting it.

I must admit that naked bike aren't popular in Canada. Manufacturers canadian catalogs can show it.

New models not available in Canada :

- Honda Hornet 600 2008
- Suzuki GSR 600 2007-2008
- Suzuki Naked Bandit 650/1250
- ...

And about ... mine is green !
